Sony DAVS800

Hi Folks - I'm considdering purchasing a multi-region Sony DAVS800, (DVD, SACD, 5 Speakers, that sort of thing)
Anyone got one?
What do you think of it?

I think you can do better for the money! if you are wanting to spend this much, you might as well save up another £200-£300 and get a "real" system. Something like:

Marantz SR4200 receiver (What Hi-Fi? best buy)
Pioneer Dv444K (Home Entertainment best Buy)
Choice of speaker packs, but if you want soemthing small like the sonys, MS premier.

That little lot, although costing about £900ish, would blow away the Sony and any other all in one. Plus, unlike the sony, you would have RGB out on the DVD player and Pro-Logic 2 on the receiver.
