...either direct from their shops/site or via MFI? If so, what do you think of them?

Thanks.

Yep, bought a couple of sofas before Christmas via mfi.

Covers were supposed to be washable - but they changed colour in the washer!

Mfi have replaced the covers though free of charge.

I see you went for the Loose Cover ones. I have been thinking about getting the Marlowe sofas but after seeing them in my local MFI, the covers looked like they weren't pulled tight enough and looked creased. Have you had any problems? How long did you have to wait as well?

You're better off going to a Sofa Workshop store rather than MFI. Sofa Workshop carry several different ranges (for different budgets) and even do a bespoke range whereas MFI carry a much smaller and limited range. Check out www.sofaworkshop.co.uk

If you didn't already know MFI bought Sofa W last year. The range offered at MFI is called Sofa Workshop Direct.

There the ones we have although they have just changed the name to Marlowe, they were called Ludlow before. Covers do need pulling tight to make them look better. Have had no problems other than the one above which was sorted out by mfi. They took about 6 weeks to arrive after ordering them.

I had a nightmare with their direct arm about 18 months ago. Ordered a leather sofa in Feb and arranged delivery in March. They cancelled delivery 2 days before it was due and did the same again 3 more times finally admitting that the sofa had never been built as they were having problems sourcing the leather for it. They refused to cover the sofa in an alternative leather or fabric (I offered to pay the difference) and then after 3 months when I cancelled the order (they had take the full balance in March despite no sofa!) they charged me again on 3 separate occasions the full ammount of the sofa (charging twice in one day!!). Only when the CC company got involved did they finally repay the money and interest and penalties accrued on the card.
