This movie from 1989 also called The Vidiot From UHF is one movie that i hoped would make it`s way on the DVD format. Can anyone tell me if a release date has been set yet. This mad movie with Michael Richards(Kramer) as TV-host for a childrenprogram is the best ever. The best part is when they make fun of other movies(Conan,Rambo,Indiana Jones,Gandhi(?).It`s just sick
Yes this one is a timeless classic and i hope it will get a R2 release someday.
Infact it's one of the most fun movies i have ever seen and it's very sad that Weird Al never got the chance to make another movie. Why this one bombed at the boxoffice is anyones guess as it was the funniest movie of 1989. And Kramer would never get crazier or better then he is in this movie where Weird Al let's everyone shine.

Last news I heard was that it's getting a souped up SE on R1 in 2002. This page (http://www.weirdal.com/latenews.htm) has a bit of news on it.

I've not seen the whole film, but that ad had me rolling on the floor laughing. I think I may be joining the queue for the DVD.
