Eltex Speakers

I want some new speakers for my home cinema setup, Eltex ones seem really good price, but ive heard a few people saying these arnt very good. Is this true?, I dont wanna spend a fortune on speakers so dont expect anywhere near the best. My budget is £250 for 2 front 2 rear and a centre.

Depends on your expectations.I replaced a pair of Missions with Eltax Liberty 5+ and they beat the Missions hands down.I also prefer the sound to that of Kef codas.For the price i would say they are hard to beat.I would be interested to hear if any Eltax owners say they are not good.

www.qed-uk.com are very cheap for Eltax. Actually, it is Miller Brother's online presence, but I don't think they want anybody to know that! :rolleyes: :D

Talking of Eltax at qed, they have the Linear 5.1 response speaker set for £250 (half rrp!) . Absolutely no idea how they sound, but have a look at how they LOOK! WOW!

I have Eltax Symphony 8.2 floorstanders and an Eltax Symphony Centre. Very happy with them too.

i agree,
i have Eltax symphony 6 fronts, and HT2 Bipolar rears, and an Eltax center, run from a Sherwood R945 Digital receiver.
Brilliant sound, recommended.

Thanks guys, i think im gonna go for some liberty 5s, and a gale 10 centre, just spent £2500 on a new tv so dont want to go made just yet on speakers.

If anyone has got any speakers for sale let me know.

I'd be wary of the Gale.One of my mates got one from Richersounds and it is not great.I'm not sure of the model.
