Looks like the Bush DVD3000. Not a bad player and can be made Region free with the Proline 1000 remote hack. My Brother has had one for a few months and has not had any problem discs.

I think the player is a 2004. Don'y have one myself , but might get one as a Chrissy gift for the folks. Anyone got any experience with this one?

My advice BUY ONE NOW!

I bought this from Richer Sounds only a few months ago - £180!

Plays DVD / VCD / CD / MP3 / CDR / CDRW.

Built in DTS decoder.

About 6 video outputs!

Muliti region via remote and it also de-macros too!

Get this, get dts speaker system and off you go.

If you must buy one of these make sure you get the extra warrenty package that richer sounds do with it. I bought one of these at the beginning of the year and have had no end in trouble with it.
Firstly the soundtrack of anything played on it went out of sync after about 20mins. The laser then diedand finally the loading mechanism failed.
Richer sounds then took 6 weeks to 'repair' the thing. Now the LED display doesn't work, non of the controls on the actual machine correspond to the right functions and the subtitles are locked on most discs.
It's only real plus point is the lack of macrovision.

Anybody know if this machine is still on offer at Aldi?

They don't have it in my local stores (West Lohian) but it's worth visiting as many as poss or asking the manager to phone around for you -I've done this and it worked with a lawnmower (not for me of course :D )
