best burn speed for audio CDR?

Just duplicating some CD's for in the car. What is the maximum burn speed I should use? I'm using x8 ATM. is this too fast? Or too slow?

Depends on the CD drive, the PC and the software. I burn on the fly at 40x and have yet to have a coaster.

That's with a Lite-on 52x drive, quick PC and Nero 6. 8x is pretty slow,

I am copying them onto my PC in wav form then burning onto a CD. Does it need to be this slow to reduce errors?
