Shall I buy this on R2? I see HMV have it for £10.99 with the book bundled together in a big box.
It is only Dolby Digital 2.0 but surely for a film like this which is mostly dialogue based, that should be okay? Anyone comment on the transfer?
Cheers.

(Anamorphic) Picture quality is superb.
Stereo soundtrack is fine for this movie (like you say, its mostly dialogue anyway.
Not too sure about the lip synch in a couple of places (I think on the first Mr.White flashback), or is it just me?
Yup, buy it.
I've seen it for £8/9 in Our Price

Being a low-budget film, it was only recorded in stereo anyway, so you're not losing anything with the DD 2.0 soundtrack. A 5.1 remix wouldn't do much, as it is a dialogue rather than special-effects film.

Just backing up what everyone else has said, go for the Region Two, okay the current Region One release has got at 5.1 soundtrack but I'd go for the very good, anamorphic transfer everytime. It also has a specially-filmed(?) introduction with Quentin Tarantino.

2002 is the 10th anniversary of RD, so the U.S are getting a souped up 10th Anniversary SE.
