A lot of DirectX this time.

This list does not include win9x and NT4 fixes which I haven't checked out ( if any have been released this time ).

The script kiddies etc will already be working on exploits for these security holes. Patch now before the worms/trojans/virii get released.

Being a beta there's no guarantee that it will work or not trash your system, or that you have an upgrade path to the release version of SP2.

Contact MS and tell them it doesn't work as they will want to know so they can fix it (though they're probably aware of the problems).

Anyway, as for these hotfixes, I'm on SP1 and I only see one hotfix through Windows Update (Security Update for DirectX 9.0 (KB839643)).

I tried to report the issue but you need to be a signed up member of the beta testers to do that. There are a number of issues with resolutions on the help but non fix the problem I have been experiancing, google didnt turn up anything either :(

Personally I wouldn't touch any beta on a live system. If you're intending to test it on a system you can afford to trash and rebuild, that's another matter.

It's an update - Microsoft .NET Framework Service Pack 2, English Version, 04/06/2004 I believe. Don't know why they do it this way though.

My PC at work is also only picking up the one update.

these come out once a month now via window supdate. (and to end users at work via SUS)

got the email from M$ last night about updates.

reason for the number is, that each patch is for a different OS or DX version.

most machines will only need one.
