My DVD player's broke, what do I do!?

My Samsung DVD player broke yesterday. When I put in discs it make a noise like an air raid siren winding up, then goes down, then up, until it says

disk cannot be loaded.

I still have the warranty card but i can't find the reciept! I bought it off the internet bout 7 months ago and can't even remember what site i got it off! Ack!

If I can't use the warranty, how much will it cost me to get it repaired and where could i get it repaired. It sounds like it needs a new disc reading unit.

Phone up Samsung - the number should be in the manual.
If it's under a year old it will be covered.

oh wicked, would they take it even without a reciept? I have a credit card statement saying I bought it. Also, it is multi-region, will that cause any problems?

Is it a 511? That happened to mine. I got mine in the free offer from Carphone Warehouse but brassed my case and took it back to Asda as they were selling them last Chrimbo. I took it in and complained and they gave me my money back as i said I lost the receipt. Not very honest I know but I knew the Carphone Warehouse would mess me about and Asda would get thier cash back anyway. :eek:
