Sky Remote Problem

alright,

just tried to watch sky and loads of the buttons have stopped working for some reason. I don't think anything was spilled on it cos they seem to stop and start working all the time.

my mum had a similar problem when she took to long to change the batteries once but she can't remeber what she did.

anybody else had this problem? any idea how to fix it?

If the battery's aren't replaced in 10 mins or so, they forget some of the settings.

yeah it looks like thats whats happened, but i can't remember any battery warnings or anything.

any idea how to fix it?

It shouldn`t affect using it with your Sky box, It would only lose the controls for the TV if set up for it !

Are you sure its not the box it self that is playing up, Maybe unplug it from the mains for a few minutes ?

My sky+ controller has done this as well. All the top interactive buttons no longer work. If this is the same problem as mulletboy I'd be interested in a fix.

i've found a guide that tells you how to set your remote up again, its here (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/satellite/remote/). I tried it but it doesn't work cos the select and red buttons don't work, but the rest of you having problems might be able to.

i'm gonna give sky a ring if they're still open.

EDIT - didn't ring sky in the end, just took the control to pieces and cleaned it, seemed to sort it.
