8600 or 510M

Which would you say is the better Laptop?

The Dell Inspiron 8600, or the 510M

I am looking for it to mainly play movies, Word Process and Play games (Such as Champ Man and Pro Evo Soccer)

Which is best, considering the difference in size between the 2

Is the 8600 Large?

What are your experences of using them?

Not seen a 510m but have an 8600

the 8600 is fairly big and bulky, but looks (and feels) nice. The screen is excellent and battery life seems good

The 8600 has either Radeon 9600 mobile or Geforce 5200 graphics, whereas the 510m only has integrated Intel extreme

The 8600s have 15.4" Widescreen screens, while the 510m has a choice of 14"/15"4:3 screens

They have alot knocked off the 8600 at the mo on the outlet site @ Dell

they tend to go straight away I managed to grab one today myself

saying that the 510m is very nice as my brother bought one a few weeks ago

example 1.7 1gb mem 80gig drive etc etc for 950 ish

What is the graphics card like on the 510M like?

It is an integrated one that uses INTEL(R) 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics Controller

So do not expect it to be scoring high in 3dmark

just run a DVD through this one seems fine

good sound too

a plus note for the 8600 is the fact it has a wide screen format (i noticed you were talking of the playing of DVD's)
