Is it possible to edit the Phonebook on simcards using the USB Dongle or is it purely for uploading/downloading other forms of data?

Certainly. I sync my Outlook contacts with the phone. Synchronising works both ways so anything on the phone ends up in Outlook and vice versa.

I normally edit anything that's come from the phone in Outlook to add +44 to the number and anything else I need ( e-mail etc ), and then it gets sent back to the phone next sync.

One thing worth mentioning. Sim & phone memories are different. In my case, the synchronising occurs with the phone memory. The numbers in the sim are only there so that they are available in other phones I may use and to provide speed dialling.

I take it you can edit the Phonebook stored on the phone memory aswell
