Almost purchased a Plasma last night after seeing the rave reviews the 5200 is getting - it will be my first Plasma set

The only thing that held me back was the fact that the 5300 is not that much more expensive

Is it worth the extra ?

Will be mostly used for DVD viewing ( connected via Toshiba 510 component input ) and also SKY via RGB Scart

I will also have a few other things connected ( such as game consoles ) via the S-VIDEO out of my AMP

the 5200 looks lovely but the 5300 is only a few hundred pound more

One final thing - where is best to buy them from ? At the moment im considering LEConcepts

LE Concepts review.

I ordered an amp and DVD player from LE Concepts mid last year. They took my money and it took over a month and loads of pointless and frustrating phone calls before I recieved my goods. Which arived with a faulty DVD and a cracked plug on the amp and then it took another 2 months approx, loads more calls and 2 more DVD players before one worked (problems, not multi region, not working eg.).

I would never even contemplate using them again!

Of course this is just my opinion...

Oh

Maybe should have read that 30 minutes ago :)

After doing some web browsing this is actually the first "bad" thing I have heard about them

Called them up and ordered the 5200

Shall wait and see

Duncan

Have you actually seen the screen in action or compared it to any of the other similarly priced screens?

Or are you buying purely from the reviews its getting?

By the way Duncan, did LEconcepts tell you about the Hitachi promotion that is running between 02 May and 03 July.

Didn't see it on the LEconcepts site but if you have a look at www.cramptonandmoore.co.uk they show it. i think the price is slightly better too.

Hitachi are giving a free portable DVD player with every purchase of 32PD5200 and the 42PD5200/5300.

If you send the receipt/proof of purchase to:
