ive just seen this in my local richer sounds for £89.95 (reduced coz box has been opened apparently).. i was thinking about the vsx c-100 in black from richer sounds for £99.95 but if the 300 is the same then the fact that this is silver will mean it'll blend in with my dvd player and speakers!

can anyone give me an idea what's different about these two? and give me advice on whether i should go for the 300 or the 100?

thanks all

The 300 has pro logic II and the 100 does not, I think.

If you're able to get pro logic 2, definately get it mate, i was sceptical about it but it really is good :)

i thought they both had PL2? maybe not though.. its odd that the newer model wouldnt have it and the older would.. i'd better make sure..

the C100 is actually the later model and is the only one with DPL2. The C300 only has DD5.1 and DDTS. For the extra £10, get the C100

if you're referring to plugging in your TV RF ariel lead into the amp, this wouldn't be possible unless you had a converter from RF to phono outputs.

you can however plug in a sky digibox or other digital TV signal from the scart output via a scart to phono lead. not sure if the C100 has S-video inputs, I suspect not.

what inputs does the c100 have? how do these slim line style receivers compare to the standard chunky size ones?

i just need to plug in my vcr, my dvd player and sky..
