Just got the R2 DVD of The Krays and either I'm going blind or this is one of the dullest, muddiest-looking "legitimate" DVD releases I've ever seen. I even compared it to my old laserdisc copy, and the LD blew away the DVD in almost every way, including sharpness of image, contrast and color accuracy (not to mention the fact that the laserdisc is widescreen and the DVD didn't even manage to get that right). Just wanted to warn others away from this DVD. Wish someone had done the same for me.
