ER series boxes available on VHS but not DVD?!

Okay, so I've been asking for ER series boxsets for about 5 years now...

And so what happens? The doofuses release them on VHS!?!?!? :confused:

I know they are good value - on VHS, the complete series 1 which is almost 1000 minutes long, covering 25 episodes, costs £35.

But COME OFF IT, what about DVD??? :mad:

I understand that outside Japan, you can only get ER on video or DVD here in the UK.

Anybody have any idea whether a DVD release is planned?!?! :(
