First of all, if you've enjoyed the previous William Castle's remake, House on Haunted Hill, then this second one is definetly for you!
The main star of the film has got to be that exsquisite glass house, in itself a pure machine "designed by the devil and powered by the dead" hehe. Matthew Lillard is very campy and funny in it, just like he should be, in fact I've laughed more times than I got scared but thats not a bad thing. It's Ghostbusters with a twist, a crazy Uncle literaly captures ghosts into glass cubes and then builds a house/machine with them being released one by one with a family trapped inside.
Did it come out yet in UK? Definetly go see it, I want this DVD NOW! :D

P.S. How nice to see the remakes, especially if you've had a glimpse of the originals. Remember in House on Haunted Hill, the limousines arrive with an accompanying Marilyn Manson song, Sweet Dreams. Well in 13 Ghosts, they arrive under the trippy/rappy Tricky's "Excess", very cool

Disclaimer: Due to the reviewer's mostly crappy taste in films the aformentioned recommendation should be ignored and you're better off wasting the money you don't have on some other, even crappier movie, like Harry Pothead.:D

House on haunted hill (remake) had one of the best title sequences I've ever seen.

Not a bad film at all really. Although the final 'big badness' was a bit of a let down (as they usually are).

Will keep an eye out for this one.

Looking forward to this one very much indeed. Read some reviews on AICN.

The "House on Haunted Hill" remake was a flawed gem (they dropped the ball bigtime with The Darkness) but is one of my most treasured DVDs.

Ta muchly for the tip, Lenny! No idea when we'll get it over here, though.
