Unbreakable R2 - disc 2 subtitles?

does anyone else have a problem turning off the (french) subtitles on disc 2 of Unbreakable (R2)? No matter how many times I go into setup and switch them off, they will no go away. Even the trailer is in French (dubbed)!

I just got this today and I have the same problems... Luckily I have a DVD Rom drive on my computer and that played it fine - except the deleted scenes which it will refuse to play (a la the R2 reissue of The Rock). This is annoying but I can live with it.


Note: I have a Wharfedale 750(s?).
