It's basically Wave Race on Xbox with more tracks, team play and more tricks. It's ace :D and for only £15.

Online play as well but not too many on it at the moment.

question - does this have a mode where you can freely drive about (i.e. no races or check points to meet)?

My eldest is young and I think he would like this.

He plays the scenic drive mode on other games such as MM3.

You can do Trick Tutorial, where you have a set level and 8 tricks to do. Of course you don't have to do them so can just ride about. It's more or less a free drive mode :)

Got my copy from Powerplaydirect on release and was £12 or £13 and free P+P !!

ahh well I'll give it a miss. Don't think it would be value for money for me as my son would get bored of one course pretty quickly.
