Looks like the UK is going to loose out again, just got the finished sleeve through for the R2 UK version of Evolution, which was originaly listed as having loads of features, audio comm, deleted scenes etc. Now the sleeve lists the contents as just- Making Of Featurette, Production Notes, Filmographies and Trailers. Just checked with Columbia about this and they say it's because of the quick release of the title, they've had to drop most of the extras. Also theres no DTS soundtrack, just 5.1. Does anyone know whats going to be on the R1 version?

R U saying CTHE UK have confirmed to you that the audio commentary by Ivan Reitman, the deleted scenes, the special effects featurette, the cast and crew interviews and the DTS soundtrack that will apparently be gracing the R1 disc will me missing from ours? :(
Are you absolutely sure all the above extra features will be missing from the local disc?
I was really looking forward to this and it now looks like I'll have to get the R1 version.
Are CTHE UK going the way of Universal UK?
well the lack of DTS is no surprise but I'd be surprised if the other extras aren't on there although I've never seen any firm confirmation of extras in any region so far just speculations
Wish someone could confirm either way so I could pre-order this in time for Xmas.........

The R1 version (which will have all the extras plus the DTS) is out on 26 Dec.
Now, if you go to the right supplier you should get it before Christmas.

I have the finished sleeve here infront of me and it only lists the bare bones extras that ive put in my fisrt post. Ive checked with Columbia who have confirmed that most of the extra features have had to be dropped due to trying to get the disc out before Xmas. Looks like the R1 version is the one to go for.
OK guys, according to this advert in Empire it looks as though the deleted scenes and comm are included. No mention of DTS but then they never do in these adverts.

R4 is December 11th, extras are vague at the moment though.
Deaks.
Ta Robbay!!!!!!!111111111111 :p
So Johnny boy, have CTHE UK been telling you porkies?
it all seems a bit vague, I've seen a couple of columbia adverts in the press saying that it has delted scenes and stuff. But then I've also seen a R4 press release saying it has a making of and the usual trailer/notes stuff only. But then in the product description it says "and much more", either way I'm getting mine cheap so I'm not really bothered although more extras would be nice
I can't see any extras listed on the BBFC site..... :(

I spoke to Martin Hearne at CTHE UK a short while ago. Martin confirmed that the UK DVD release of Evolution will not feature a commentary by Ivan Reitman, deleted scenes or a DTS audio track. :(
I mentioned the advert for the upcoming DVD release of Evolution in the new edition of Empire and he said he had no knowledge of it!!!!!!!!1111111111111111
The plot thickens. :(
