Anyone got a clue whether you could put a "three" PAYG sim in a normal phone and use it? Obviously it wouldn't be 3G - but thats no great loss - just want it so I can keep my 3 number and for the cheap calls on the 3 tariff using the cellnet network.

Them rices aren't much to shout about realy, £89.98 for the e365 on orange (easily unlocked for free) t610 129.99 on orange too. gx10 and 3650 i think are discontinued. Plus if you call the link you might be able to get them to pricematch orange and get 20% i think) off?

Three will send you a nasty letter if you dont use the 3G sim in its registered phone with a new sim card and will threaten to terminate your account if you continue to use 3g sim in 2g phones...

Looks good deal, my mate was out for a new sim free T610... will let him know =)

It is very easy to unlock it, but i'm not sure where you can get it done for free. I paid 15GBP to unlock mine. It can all be done remotely over the internet as the unlock code is worked out from your IMEI number and then e-mailed to you.

However, if you are planning on texting alot i would dissuede you from buying the e365. I bought one back in Feb and read reviews regarding the slow text speed so i tried it in an orange shop before purchase. I made the mistake of only typing a short message (sub 50 characters) and it seemed fine however it drastically slows down after about 50 characters making it exceptionally annoying to text from. Also if you have alot of messages in ure inbox/outbox it can take a long time to open the folder in the phone, a further irritation. For calls though it is excellent, very clear reception, and exceptional battery life. The games are pretty gd too:norty:

so anyone know if its true what i said? Does the 3650 work with three sims? Im not bothered about the letter they supposedly send as there nothing in the contract that states you must use the supplied equipment, also i cant see them cutting you off as long as you still pay the bill.

Im not that fussed now as id go to orange if they done me a decent deal, its just the three phones battery life and size is getting me down now after 6 months

do not use your 3 sim in any other phone other that a 3 phone as you are breaking your contract and they will chop the sim and then charge you £30 to get it put back on

what if i leave it off? and how can they chop the sim ? They gonna physically come from india to cut it:D

Cant see how they can say you breaking contract anyway, as the Nokia that cpw provided for three wasnt approved by three but cpw and dixons still sold it anyway with a disclaimer.

Also how i cant see three being the only network to do this where as the 5 dont do this.

BUt i may be wrong, wouldnt be the first time:D

i might be wrong i dont know, but i have a heard of a few people doing this and no one getting any letters or anything, as threes coverage is absolut pap, mines locked to 2g anyway so get full 02 signal rather \than threes 33% coverage
