View Full Version : Limp Bizkit Boiler single/dvd
I saw this in Woolie today for £2.99. I love the song and the video and thought the DVD might be worth a buy. I didn't get it though as i was a little dissapointed with the Rollin DVD.
Has anyone bought this and can comment on the picture/audio?. I noticed the CD single states the video on there is the unedited version does that go for the DVD as well??.
Hmmmm... all big Limp Bizkit fans i see:rolleyes: http://www.freakygamers.com/smilies/s/contrib/edoom/urinate.gif
Sorry, just caught this one..I havent got the single yet..didnt even know it was gonna be released on DVD actually. Guess where I'm heading lunchtime :D
I caught a bit of the video on Kerrang the other week and really want to be able to see the full video...if the rest is anything like the clip i saw then i wont be dissappointed. :)
Although the DVD single for Rollin' was edited..but if you changed the angle to look at the lyrics karoke style, the 'rude' words were style there.
hmm - funnily enough, I bought this (along with the excellent Left Behind by Slipknot) on Monday - and I haven't watched it yet!!
On the back though, it appears that it might only be the audio of Boiler and the video of Faith. Boiler is listed, but next is 'Faith (DVD Video)' - that mention of DVD Video is not next to Boiler.......worrying.
I sincerely hope the vid is there, but I don't know yet.
I'll have a butchers in Woolies at lunchtime..most likely the scabby place wont have any in stock, but its worth a try. If i coudl lay my hands on the viseo for Boiler i would be well impressed. I dont fancy a 35 odd meg video download on a 56k connection :(
They did screw the Rollin DVD up a bit didn't they. Edit the song but have swearing on the subtitles.
I also looked at the Slipknot single and that had the unedited video on, i'm not sure if that's available on DVD.
If the video isn't on the Boiler DVD then i guess we'll have to plump for the CD single, how stupid would that be???.
I might just wait as i remember Fred saying on the website that there might be a compilation DVD with the video's on, hopefully that will get better treatment.
I wonder if the vid will be uncut, and I don't just mean swearing, in one scene someone's head *slips* off his body!!! Kerrang show it uncut after 10pm

Yeah that's Wes Borland, i'm not sure WHY his head falls off but it looks good.:D
I've seen various edits of this sequence, some show it all but it's all blurred and others cut away to Otto drumming (which doesn't work at all) or they loop an extra bit of Fred eating. ????

yeah - it's just a 'normal' CD with the vid (prolly in QT format).
There should definitely be more DVD singles released! It's a great idea, as long as they do it right. I hate it when a single comes out, is available in DVD format, but it hasn't got the vid of the single on it. Eg: Ash's DVD's. Some labels do get it right though - Sum 41's Fat Lip had the vid on, as did Crawling by LP......

Sum 41's Fat Lip didn't contain the 'pain for pleasure' ending though.
Thats because 'Pain for Pleasure' is a seperate song, they just tacked it onto 'Fat Lip' for a laugh.
Guess who forgot to go to Woolies at lounchtime to investigate. :o

According to the HMV ad in today's NME it has the videos to both Boiler and Faith.
I really don't understand why DVD single are released without the video for the actual single. Antoher recent example is In The End by Linkin Park which only has the video for Crawling. If some companies can do it why can't they all? I'd certainly buy more single if they did

I've got the DVD in front of me, and I watched it Monday night. "Boiler" is just the audio (PCM, I think), with the lyrics scrolling on the screen. "Faith" is the video (no swearing) from 1998. "My Way (P. Diddy Remix)" is just the audio, with their three album covers moving to the music (and the mix is crap), and the 30 second clips of videos include Rollin', Boiler, My Way and My Generation in a bizarre mix of DD2.0 and PCM stereo. Not bad for £3 :)
Thanks for that, i had a feeling it would be identical to the Rollin pressing. I'm a little dissapointed but hopefully they will issue a decent music DVD.
