I would say yes, I really did enjoy these films and the scene in the first one with the school is great.

Go get `em!!

The only difference with LW1 is a scene at the begining involving a sniper. If its only £2.00 more you might as well get it.

If I remember rightly the director's cut footage is also on the DVD of Lethal Weapon 4 (it certainly was on the region 1 edition)

As well as the school bit, I remember it also had the original opening and the original ending. But I can't remember if the beginning of some of those scenes were presented with a voice over talking about them or not.

Did anyone else notice when LW2 was shown on Channel 5 a few days ago, it was completely uncut and included bits the DVD version doesn't have? Anyone know if the Directors Cut version DVD is entirely uncut?

As far as I know LW2 is uncut in this new release - however something to bear in mind is they don't have the DTS soundtracks that the US versions do - they just had another price-drop in the States as well - so prices should be comprable...

Actually LW1 has the most footage added out of all 3, and not just that scene but about 8 little bits here and there.
LW3 has 3 mins inserted into 2 DVD chapters
LW2 has 4 mins inserted including Riggs flirting with the girls in the spa and Leo calculating the # of the house they're looking for.
LW1 however has whole 7 mins inserted back spread out over 3 DVD chapters. All 3 are worth 2-3 quid or squid or dollars or bucks or bones or whatever, much better experience, feels whole and complete.

Nick probably haven't noticed other additions because they all fit so well and feel so natural, they belong where they are and you might not notice thinking "that was in the theatrical cut"

And yes most of them are included on LW4 SE as that came out before they decided to incorporate the scenes back and re-release as dir's cuts

As far as I know LW2 is uncut in this new release The BBFC sez that LW2-DC has had 31 seconds cut from it in order to pass.

(edit)

I'd have to add that the oz version of LW2-DC appears to be fairly uncut, as the running length according to MichaelDVD here (http://www.michaeldvd.com.au/Reviews/Reviews.asp?ReviewID=436) is 3 seconds longer than the BBFCs + 31 seconds. Confusing? Not really.

Is the picture quailty on the directors editions any better than the old ones i read a review that the first film on region 2 is grainy and alot of blocking in places ? And how about the other two film? Thanks
