If EIV are releasing it, we can expect a packed disc for £9.99 two months after release.

Not HKL
It's EiV, it's a budget release, it's been said that it will be 4:3 Pan&Scan and Stereo

Bullets'n'Babes have reported it will be released on November 19th for £12.99. This isn't looking good. :( I will be absolutly amazed if the disc is widescreen and comes with the original soundtrack.
Megastar remastered version. From www.dddhouse.com (about £6!!!)
Non-anamorphic, but...
... WIdescreen, original language - the way it should be!
try www.asiandvdguide.com for numerous disc reviews and disc specs etc...

By the time you add shipping costs, it works out around £10 anyways.
Might be worth hanging on just to see what the EIV title is like.
I can understand it being in 2.0, but im not convinced it will be P&S.
EIV previously released Mr Nice Guy, Rumble In The Bronx and First Strike.
They were all cut.
Cantonese dialogue was dubbed into English. Fortunately, Mr Nice Guy was filmed totally in English, with the others post dubbed by Jackie in English (bar the numerous cantonese scenes in some which were cut anyway)
Expect a dubbed version from EIV. If ure lucky it might be Jackies voice dubbing himself - but i don't think such a track exists, and EIV won't commission one. I suspect it will be cropped also. If not 4:3, then 16*9.
The Megastar version is original language, with original aspect ratio. No better version exists. (I hope someone can do it real justice one day")

I'll hold out and see what the EIV specs are.
The megastar version has a breif cut, maybe EIV will get an uncut version.

yeah I know the chances of a decent EIV release are slim.
But if you buy it now, you can bet EIV will go and do a release that rivals HKL. :D
The chance is always there!
These days, if people don't take note of the quality efforts of HKL, and the loudly voiced opinions of many HK cinema fans, (myself included), then the are simply stupid and have little business sense.
For example, how many more copies would "Legend of a Drunken Master" (aka DM2) have sold if it had a Cantonese track? More than would have outweighed the costs of securing the track, I'll bet!
Listen up people (especially Miramax!)- Put effort into ure releases and you will sell more copies and improve ure reputation. Why do so few of u think it is worth it?

I have seen that Armour of God 2, will have a 4:3 letterboxed picture and the orginal audio track in Mono.
