I have a PC I want to setup wirelessly at the other end of the flat but it's a SFF PC so the PCI slots are half the size of normal ones.

So I was thinking a usb wireless adapter. I have the Netgear DG834G but I an MB connection would be fine as I will only be using the PC to DL and play music not much file transfers going on. I found this (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0000C1WO0/ref=sr_aps_electronics_1_2/026-1209321-4168430)one on Amazon. Would this be OK? Does anyone know of any cheaper options?

Cheers
Stu

Not sure. There are USB wireless adaptors available with aerials. Might be better than a small usb stick for getting a decent signal.

What sort of distance, walls, doors etc have you got?

If you have a shuttle, then they do their own wireless adaptor.

Should be fine. I've got a usb wireless dongle, and it works great. You might want to check out dabs though, as they were cheaper last time I looked.

I use those exact ones for my wireless needs as I reckoned it was more flexible in the future than getting PCI/PCMCIA (or whatever the laptop ones are) cards. Work fine for me as it is just the internet access I wanted rather than actually networking (and hence file swapping).
