Toshiba 28W33B Dynamic contrast. How do i turn it off!!!

Hi All,

I bought a Toshiba 28W33 from Skybuy (and it surprisingly arrived)

It seems to have a dynamic contrast setting whereby if there is something bright on screen the picture darkens, and re-lightens when the bright thing is no longer on screen.

This is obviously very annoying especially if there is something flashing on screen cos the screen keeps changing the contrast.

Anyway, there is no way to turn it off in the standard menus, and was wondering if it might be possible to disable this via the service menus (which I have thus far been unable to locate)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think it's called "automatic gain control". I don't think you can deactivate it in software, but someone else will no doubt know more.
