Can someone please explain why HKL have got Game of Death 2 down as a Bruce Lee title when it was originally called Tower of Death and had nothing to do with Bruce (or so I thought).

Also, if GoD2 does star Bruce Lee, where exactly have they got the footage from considering they couldnt even make GoD1 decent except for the last ten minutes ?.

Simple.
Due to the huge success of Game of Death Raymond Chow made a sequel. This time using outtakes from Enter the Dragon...

It has always been called Game of Death 2 over here. The name Tower of Death is the HK title.
HKL were going to use the Tower title pre 11/9 but then thought otherwise.

To be fair the director of it got conned into thinking there was more Bruce Lee footage than there was. So he pretty much killed of the Billy Lo character sharpish so he could skip with all the doubles/trick shots etc. that plagued Game of Death.

If you watch it - not as a 'Bruce Lee' film - then its quite cool!

It has some really outrageous fights! Man Vs Lion (aka Man in Lion suit!) :D :p

Yes this is a classic of HK Cinema and IMHO much more enjoyable to watch compared to Game of Death 1 (besides the Bruce Lee scenes and Sammo's fights).

Just don't think of Tower of Death as a Bruce Lee movie and you will surely enjoy this one. There are many fight scenes to enjoy (Scenes in the music club and the alley fights are amazing. Wang Cheng Wu is also extremely funny as Wildman during the end of the movie). Roy Horan is in it doing his imitation of Robinson Crusoe as a kung fu master complete with an Ape to on his shoulder :) Roy is also on the commentary track together with Bey Logan. This one is not to be missed. It got a really good end fight to with Hwang Jang Lee. The endfight is set in a 60's style sci-fi style laboratory really neat think early star trek and you are nearly there and it is complete with deadly traps too :)

And ofcourse you don't want to miss out on the interviews with Roy Horan and Casanova Wong. I've heard the animated menus and the music that accompanies it are really something special on this disc :)

Bey Logan & Roy Horan's commentary is one of the best I have heard to date. It is very funny and informative at the same time. Neither are too shy take the michael out of eachother or the movie.

Great to hear what are your opinions on the picture and sound quality of the movie ? I really hope the sound quality on the english dubbing is excellent as even my old VHS copy of the GOD2 sounds great with none of the harschness associated with HK films. Oh and that soundtrack is great. By the way does Roy Horan still look like he does in the movie and how old is he now must be 50 years or more ?

prefer the international version of this, it incorporates the hkl deleted footage into the movie.so it's worth owning both the hkl and the region 1 fox, which is the longer cut.
