Pioneer dv444 Macrovion quible

I bought a Pioneer from the people at AV Land last week that im very happy with. The only thing is, the disabled macrovision doesnt work on R1 Titles. I can back up R2 but not R1. This has baffled me to say the least. I have set the player to output in pal 50 so the ntsc isnt an issue. Can any one help? Oh yeah I have tried my macro buster cable and it doesnt work the video still comes out funny.

The pioneer outputs PAL60, not PAL50 - Therefore no backups.(unless u have NTSC record capabilities on your vcr)
Macrovision disabled allows u to route the dvd player via a vcr or projector without interference.

Thanks for the reply. Right let me get this straight...I am a little slow with these things, sorry.
Because the player outputs in pal60 I cannot make back ups, because unlike my Orion DVD2000 the signal is different, I think I understand. :)

Oh yeah I am not making copies of these films for personal gain as it is wrong and i do not believe in it, the films i am using are my own and i am doing it for the purposes of uni work. Just to clear this up, and so i dont get in any trouble, Ok?
