Problems with Infinifilm films???

I'm having problems with the new Infinifilm DVD's from New Line and my chipped JVC 515 dvd player.. When the films playing if flicks the picture formatting for about 10 seconds everytime a new chapter kicks in. This happens on both Blow and 13 Days and no matter what ratio setting I have my DVD set up as the same thing happens... Does anyone else have this problem?? Its really irritating....:(

Yes, I've witnessed similar flaws on Samsung and LG players.
Specifically a sporadic "squashing" of an anamorphic picture where small black-bars briefly appear. I think it's the complicated transitions that the player has a problem with (i.e where an external piece of footage can be chosen to interupt the main feature) and this confuses the ratio-format flags temporarily.

Discs with seamless-branching (R1- Me, Myself & Irene, The Animal, T2) are likely to trigger similar malfunctions. To be fair to the software manufacturers, it's the fault of your player more than anything and newer versions of the JVC machine you identified will probably be able to cope with this technology.

The Samsung range have firmware upgrades available which fix the problem and I imagine that LG/JVC will have too.
