View Full Version : Adding music to home VHS tapes over camera footage, how?
My friend has put together a 10 minute compilation of te best clips from our rugyb season, we filmed a few games and have put together a 10 minute film of the best tries etc, now he wants to add music over the top so how can he do it. Its a VHS tape.
The easiest way is to capture the video through a tv card into a computer, edit it with premier, dvstudio etc and then output it back to video tape with the tv-out (or in a worst case scenario if that doesn't work properly, burn it to vcd, stick it in a dvd player and tape it that way through scart).
Failing that, if it's a stereo video I think you can dub over just the mono track (or stereo track) with a different audio source (it's called overdubbing or something). Your video instructions should be able to tell you if this is possible.
Taq.
He doesnt have the instructions for the video. Does anyone have any instructions on how too do it.
Mods can i move this please to the general forum, its not exactly about hardware as such I feel and its not gonna get more replies in here.
I did think about putting it in the general when i created it and thought maybe its best there as its not about hardware but how to add sound to a tape.:) :searchme:
