Dumb And Dumber-screen ratio?

I recently bought this on R2, the case says the picture is 1:1.85
yet the picture is blatantly full screen on my W/S tv!!!!
My friend has the same film and he has the same problem!
Can anyone shed some light?

I watched the R1 last night, and confirm that it is framed at 1.85:1, the disc is dual sided and has the 4:3 version on it was well.

Is this the same with the R2? :confused:

I have the R2 disc and, although it's been a while since I watched it, I'm sure it is a single-sided disc, with an anamorphic 1.85:1 or 1.77:1 print.

I had this problem too. I am only using a 21" 4:3 TV but it was playing in full screen rather than with borders. I had to fiddle about with my DVD player's TV settings before I could get it to play in widescreen mode.
