OK Here goes:

I'm wondering what would be the cheapest route to 5.1 from my current setup.

I currently own:

Arcam Alpha 8 amp
Arcam Alpha 8P
Pioneer DVD626 (has onboard 5.1/DTS decoder)
Castle Severn 2 Speakers.

I know I'm going to need more speakers, and I know I'm going to need more channels of amplification - whats going to be the best way to achieve this? I really want to keep the arcam stuff as I listen to a lot of music.
Thought about going for a 10+DAVE/10P but at about £2500 that is well out of my price range.

Anyone got any thoughts? I dont really want to spend much more than about £500 so that makes it a little bit more difficult still probably.

Any help would be appreciated!

Not an expert on this but I think the Yamaha DSP-E800 is used to upgrade. Your amp runs the fronts and the processor runs the rest of your speakers plus sub if need be. I think it's about £300?
