View Full Version : Bruce Lee Box Set
Does anybody know where I can find this on DVD?
As cheap as possible!!
NIck :D
The only Bruce Box Set I believe exists is the r1 one, which in comparison to the individually available r2 versions, SUCKS!
I think it may be OOP as well.

You'll probably find the R1 boxset on auctions sites like:
http://www.ebay.co.uk
http://uk.yahoo.com/r/je
http://www.qxl.com
but you may have to pay top dollar for it!

Its really not worth bothering with. Check out BulletsnBabes (www.bulletsnbabesdvds.com) for HKL Bruce Lee discs. Check out the review for the Game of Death its an amazing package.

Nick m8, still haven't seen any sign of the 10Gb hard drive you owe me (swapped for some DVDs many long months ago) and you seem to to have bothered replying to any of my emails...
Please feel free to get in touch (my email is in my sig), and I gave you my telephone number when I phoned you at work.
PS. I guess you are the same person even though your user name has changed since you still have the same email address listed in your profile!

The R2 HKL release's of The Big Boss, Fist of Fury, & Way of the Dragon boxset can be brought from play for £17.99.
Then you just need Enter the Dragon & Game of Death HKL, both of which can be brought for less than a tenner each if you shop around.

Big Boss, Fist of Fury & Way of Dragon, often 9.99 or 2 @19.99 in HMV or Virgin. Game of Death often 12.99 in same sale. Enter the Dragon, best go for R4 to avoid the snapper

Hey did a search because didn't wanna start a new topic. But I gotta know....is this worth getting?
http://www6.cd-wow.com/detail_results_2.php?product_code=6177
Also I understand it won't include the Platinum Way of the Dragon. Reckon it's worth buying that ON TOP of this collection?
Am I just a sucker for boxsets?
Please help me so I can sleep easy. :(

Bump!!
Until some definite reviews come out you can bump all you want.
If you don't have ANY of the HKL Bruce Lee DVDs then this boxset is a no brainer...
...but if, like most Bruce fans here, you already own the current HKL DVDs then I'd join the wait to see if;
The Platinum Way of the Dragon is in the boxset. The Bonus Disk is available seperately. What's on the Bruce Lee: The Legend / The Man, The Legend DVD
i won't be purchasing the box set as I already own the HKL discs, among others.
I may get the Platinum WOTD depending on quality, and extras. the new additional disc I will purchase!
The HKL people have been very crafty this time round,The platinum Way dvd is NOT in the boxset its the standard 1 disc dvd,so if you want the platinum you have to buy seperately thus having 2 copies of the same dvd !!
The bonus feature dvd in the box is only available in the boxset so if you want that disc only you guessed it ,you gotta buy the boxset !!!
The man and legend dvd has some kind of Bruce Lee transcript that was done shortly before he died on it.
Full details of all of the above are at play.com,the only dissapointing thing about the boxset is its just interviews and a gallery no rare footage ,behind the scenes or outtakes,so you have to justify buying the set again for that one dvd.

Cheers guys, I can sleep easy tonight.
The only Bruce Lee dvd I own is Big Boss. I've only really gotten into HK (and foreign) cinema over the last year so I've still got Way of the Dragon and Fist of Fury to see. I think the dude is amazing.
But at the same time I wanna know if these multiple S.E's and boxsets are worth my hard earned cash. :)
