View Full Version : Shrek Easter Egg + Extended Ending ??
I saw Shrek twice at the cinema, but I'll be buggered if I can see what the extra is in the extended ending? If anyone knows could they kindly post via spoiler tags of course :)
Also on the Full Screen version (not checked the widescreen yet) if you go into special features. Highlight the main menu option and press up you select the 'gumdrop buttons'. This just provides a random 'Shreck Fun Fact'. Crap I know, but better than nowt.
The extended ending appears at the end of the credits. It is the karoke party!

You've got 2 choices for the extended ending:
1: wait for the end credits to finish and wam! there's your new ending...
2: on the menu page (with Donkey leaping up & down to be picked) Go to the Musical Note in the top left hand corner and enter and you get the new footage on its tod...
Very funny it is too...infact quite hilarious!!
Is that it ??
I was expecting it to be an actual extended ending! Not some tacked on un-filmrelated extra (which you can get to on the 'kids' disc through the special features menu.
/me feels conned. (Although it is funny :D)

Anyone tried the dub studio feature yet?
Anyone know how to get the music videos as listed on disc 1? It might be me being thick:confused:

Go into the dreamwork kids menu(top right on the main screen),and you will find the vids amongst the tat:D
The kids had a wonderful, very loud time on the dub studio while we listened to the film on the other disc, wonderful

Did anyone else have a thoroughly annoying time trying to remove all of the gunk & plastic left behind by the "win a small bag of BK fries" - I hate it when they do that....great film though...

So THAT was the extended ending???Bah!It`s a listed extra anyway,I thought there was going to be extended scenes in the film!!!!!!!
Watched Disc1 yesterday, couldn't find the DTS soundtrack until I put disc2 in......
Found the extras no problem though.
Well is either disc (r1 - ntsc) a "as good" as picture as r2 will be?
Package is great - pity though the voice studio is dvd rom only, must be away of putting it on a normal cd rom (dont have dvd rom at home on pc)
Has anyone else noticed that there are three angles available to watch the widescreen version of R1 Shrek on disc 2??
I've watched it through all on angle 1 and part way on angle 2 but can't see any differences. The only other multi-angle part I've found is the deleted storyboards, but there are only two angles here; looking at the boards or looking at the people in the group.
Any ideas what's going on??
yeah i noticed this.
What player do you have? mine is AIWA 370.
Got mine from ********* this morning, havent watched it yet, but I did try and pull the sticker off and ruined my case.. :(
Grrrrr
My Toshiba 210E also displays 3 angles available. Weird!

Same here on my Pioneer 717. Couldn't see any difference but am intrigued to know what is different or if its just an error in the disc.

The kids love the karaoke bit!
The "Spirit" Trailer (SNEEK PEEKS - DISC1) has a well cool horse stampede bit - they really go over the top of you.
The DTS track is really really good, especially when the Dragon is about. Managed to spot a good few jokes that passed me by at the cinema too.

Am I the only one who thinks that the Shrek extras are pretty much a 'triumph' of quantity over quality, with the few half-decent ones actually much less good than those on many equivalent discs???
Extras - very average really. The proper (Disc 2) extras are decent enough but nothing special and the kids stuff is largely crap.
Angles - it is the opening credits in different languages, English, French or Spanish depending on your audio options.
Image - reference quality. NTSC vs PAL doesn't bother me, this is perfect stuff.
I got the angles thing (little camera) come up on my 2109 on disc 1.

THe X box playing tips some up the extras, I was expecting to see footage of the proper game with the tips at least.
Got the multi angle as well, I originally thought the story book was changing, I can't have been paying attention.
Guess I'm being a bit thick here but where are the 'character' interviews on Disc 1?
