Not sure if this is the right forum (feel free to move if not) but which CD-R's will work in my Samsung 511 DVD player ? Has anyone had any luck with any ?

Cheers.

These work fine in my m8s.

1) Princo branded (datasafe) can but in bulk here www.121cdr.co.uk

2) VivaStar - can buy at Argos

Have you tried using CD-RWs? They generally are happier than CDRs in single-laser DVD players.

Sorry to Hi JACk... Do these disks work on Sony players that only have 1 Laser (argos especially)

I'am not to sure about the 'VivaStar' ones but i'am pretty sure the 'Princo' ones work in nearly every DVD player. Rizel

I have tried the datasafe ones on my 511 and they don't work. Well not when they were burnt at 8x. Not sure if you need to burn them at a lower speed but an audio CD burnt on Nero at 8x with a plextor drive does not work.

Sorry forgot to mention that i have only tired VCD's with Princo based media in a Samsung 511 series and not Audio. Try thr ViaStar ones as they might work for audio. Rizel

Try the Sirius Discs. My friend has got the pickiest 709 ever but it always plays these discs!
