Buffy S3 Picture Quality

After getting season to I felt a bet disappointed with the picture quality during some of the episodes smearing seemed a major problem.

Before I purchase season 3 does anyone have any first-hand comments about the picture, have Fox made a better effort?

The review at dvdtimes states the picture quality is better than S1 & S2 but only just !.
Digital TV on BBC has better picture quality.

There really is no excuse for such poor pictute quality on Buffy.

BBC transmissions blow them away for picture quality, and even Sky over NTL analogue is much better :(

I'm not sure why everyone blames the source, when the TV transmissions are so much better?

Its really annoying that they can't get things like this right first time. I wish they would cos I'm sure now theres gonna be a rerelease wioth a better quality picture (eventually).
