Recommend me a laptop?

Looking at buying a laptop for the first time. I don't know much about brands and stuff because I usually self build and have never used a laptop before.

Priorities:

Decent sized HDD
Wireless networking enabled (Is this centrino?)
Comfortable to use
Can run games at a reasonable speed

Budget is about £1000. Anyone have any recommendations?
