After the poor effort and problems with season 2 I was waiting to see what fox came up with for season 3. Well the pocket lining is ok but I can still forsee possible surface scratches. but worse than that is the pages that hold the discs, they don't open very far at all making the cheapter selections listings prinited on them not easy to read.

C'mon what do you think?

Yeah, I thought that the pages were a bit tight. The scratching problem has been solved though by the looks of it.

All in all I think the packaging is now rather nice and as the S2 set should have been.

Had a quick look this morning before work. Picture quality is another step up from last season but still improvements to be made.

Another good set of extras although the Bad Girls commentary does sound like it was recorded in a bathroom. Only real complaint is, where the hell is SMG in the extra material? Everyone pops up to say something apart from her!

I'm glad Fox have kept this style of packaging, I really like the season 2 packaging and have had no problems with it.

Hope the rest are like this, then they'll all look excellent lined up on the shelf (except for season 1 :-( ).

Is it me or does it stick out from the shelf a little more than Season 2 though?

Yeah, it is marginally wider and longer. But I think we are only talking like 2 or 3 mm.

There is always the option of R4 amarys if you dont like the R2.

I've still got a load of Amarays off Baps spare :D

Yeah, I personally had no problems with the Season 2 packaging. Now if DVDPopcorn would deliver my Season 3 set then I could comment on this one...

Echo the thoughts on the page being to tightly bound so you can't really open the pages and read whats on them. I have reservations on the lining of the pockets, look abit crap but I guess we won't get scratched disks this time. They just look like an afterthought. Also the extras are not listed on the page's so you have to play the disk to find the featurerette's, a minor gripe.

Dissapointed that SMG doesn't grace any of the features plus I notice Allyson Hannigan and David Boreaniz also conspicuously absent as well. And doesn't Alexis Densomethingorother sound abit weird?

He sounds a perfect Englishman in comparison with James Marsters and his 'Mockney' accent. :D

Yeah, the pages are really tight and close together, I'm scared of breaking it! Just watched the extras and the Candy episode, one of my favorites, ******** myself through most of it (not literaly :)). In this episode I'm sure I saw giles head butt the policeman...I thought head butts weren't allowed?

Yeah, he is the new watcher. I must be used to his english accent in the series as his real voice sounds like weird mixture, just like James Marsters.

I was quite suprized Alexis Densomethingorother was American...his accent does seem a bit mixed up!
Fair play to James Marsters, for a bloke with quite a strong American accent he does a good English accent. Drusilla on the other hand just really irritates me with her accent!

Got my copy this morning from DVD.co.uk ....

Gotta agree with everyone regarding the tightness of the pages. Tried inserting and removing discs a few times and no scratches appeared, so the lining seems to work. Anyone know where I could get some from?, I could put it in my Buffy S2 and put my DVD back in there original packaging rather that rubbish jewel cases.

i was really impressed with the packaging.
although the tight pages was a minor irritation.
The special Features were printed on a separate page not attched to the book.
though i dont like the static menus they looked very rushed.
Also i thought the pictur quality was better than the previous two.

I love the packaging! Only annoying thing is the sticker on the front which I can't get off!!

Pages are a bit tight but apart from that everything is ok. Glad they stuck with the same packaging design and improved the disc holders. It may be slightly bigger than season 2 but it's better than another completely different design.

Overall it's ok! :)

He goes out with Alyson Hannigan as well:(

Hate the static menu screens although the Curve music in the intro sequence is one of my fave tunes.

Does he? Ah now that might make more sense. My mate reckons she's going out with Anthony Head. He must have heard watcher being mentioned and assumed it was Anthony...cos there's quite a big age difference between Giles and Willow!

hmm - I was a little surprised by the menu's given the niceness of the S2 ones through the graveyard.......but yes, Curve does give a nice little intro!
