Just got a Xbox

Just got a 3 month old 'limited edition' Xbox with Halo, MM3 and Dead or Alive Volleyball for 80 notes :clap: (Even came with a DVD playback kit, but no battery cover :( ).

So what are some 'essential games' on this console? Picking up GTA double pack next week for £25, but there are so many titles on the XBox!

Also, how much does XBox Live! cost each year?

You can either buy a game which comes with a FREE 3 month trial or pay £40 for a years subscription.

As for games, there have been quite a few threads like this recently, so probably best off searching around.

I've just been having a go with LOTR: Return of the King and found the controls and camera terrible think I might take this one back. Anyone else think the same or is it because I've just finished playing the 2 best games on the system? ;)

PGR2. Get that.

The rest depends on what you like, SC2, RS3 are quality, as are the ESPN games, although new ones out around September.

Toca Race Driver 2 ROCKS!

As good as, if not better than PGR2 in either online or offline modes.

Get Splinter Cell 2 and then you can join us lot (well me) on live! One of the best online games I've played and an original take on the online genre
