View Full Version : Xbox ESPN games Thread
Atleast 1 a day I get a scum bag who I totally own in ESPN NHL2k4 when the game almost is finished they try to quit without giving me the win, when I say no they do some sort of hack that collapses the connection, gives them a win and me a drop or a quit.
Does this sort of thing happen on other XBL games

Tbh mate it's so sparse a game around these parts that finding good people to play with is rare. Add me to your friends (think you may of already) and we'll sort out a game. I've got ESPN Football and Hockey.

This game has been very quiet of late.
had 2 games with splinter one last night
God that guy can defend, I hit him with everything, infact I know many a good Fin and swede who would have collapsed 5-0 under the pressure instead I won 2-0 and 1-0 respectfully.
ESPN NHL 2K4 is a smooth game compared to the clunky NHL Rivals, but many new players get frustrated with the inability to score, and resort to either smacking the puck at close range (and hopin) or playing the puck across the goal hoping it aint cut out by a defender and beating the keeper to the back post.
the are several ways to score, all can be countered, although I have one way which looks so damn good, it requires a forward with a powerful accurate shot and when it goes in it look so damn good

I think I played Rawowl a day or two ago, didnt know it was him or I would have said hello.
from what I can remember it was a very open game that I won 5 or 6 - 2 The two goals he scored were very original which is nice to see as some can get repetitive.

Yeh 6 - 2 it finished :( enjoyed the game though. Boston's Netminder has only 1 star but always does well for me :searchme: . I learnt too late to block in front of the net so you couldn't score that irritating goal against me :brickwall .
Have you seen many wrap around goals by the way :thinking: tried it a few times but never been successful. Will give you a game again hopefully I can improve on the last game.

yep seen alot, done a few.
all involve sneeking to the back post after the wrap not the near post tho
That goal move I used on you is fairly easily defended against, although its perfect for breakaways.........although I do I have 3 or 4 other moves in my locker:D

Agree with that BUT what about other ESPN players who use the forums ? I for one dont view every thread, so i am guessing many other members dont as well .
I just thought starting a thread stating ESPN in the title might attract more people to discuss the games.

Good question. That was for XBL games in general but this was pre-existing for ESPN games.
Seemed pointless having an ESPN thread when most of the people who play it have posted in this one, sorry if I've offended but it's a bit daft getting everyone to post all over again IMO.
For upcoming games the first look on 2005 Football could of been altered surely? Just trying to save the forums some bandwidth I don't see the problem.

Just ordered this today, looking forward to getting it tomorrow.
I know very little about hockey, but thought it's time I got into a sports game as I feel I've been missing out.
Is it going to be easy to learn? Also, I'd be up for a game but I'm not going to be a challenge but I can make your stats look good.
