Won by a penalty

Sat 12:30
Sun 2 + 4
Mon 8
So if you count Monday as being part of the footy weekend then there have been 4 games in a weekend.

Priceless.
On a side note, just wanted to add that i think Steed Malbranque is a class act.
Watching the premiership tonight just confirmed that he's just class.
Another point about all the matches at the mo.
Of course next season Sky will have approx. 30 more live games to show. I think that they have been experimenting this and previous weeks to try to decide exactly how they will fit in what is effectively a minimum of one more live game per weekend.
I'm thinking that they may well make Premiership Plus have 50 or 60 live matches with a couple of different start times. Plus we may see the return of Monday Night Football - there have been hardly any MNF live games this season.
EDIT: And not forgetting of course that 8 live Premiership matches will be on terrestrial next season for the first time.
Leicester vs Man City
Seen the players going mental in this one.
Very annoying. On The Premiership they barely even played back the incident, even though it appeared far worse than the ManU/Arsenal one earlier in the season. What a surprise that lesser clubs can get away with it but when it's Arsenal we get splashed around and in loads of trouble. Keown accidently hit Van Nistelrooy and yet in the game yesterday I see 3 or 4 players intentionally pushing/hitting one another.

That has been sadly missed this season - even watching fairly average teams on Monday night seems to generate a different atmosphere and game to your normal day games. Hopefully Sky will get round the European game problems forcing them to cancel most of the Monday Night games and sort it out!
PS
Please sack Alan Smith and Ron Hawthorne from MNF commentary - I hate them, espically when Fanzone is poor for a game as welll forcing me to listen to them drone on. Swap them over with Alan Parry and Brian Marwood, a far better team IMO

Well done to Pompey - much the better team and deserved the win against a spineless and talentless Leeds side. Tells its own story really when a distinctly average portsmouth side look so much better than us, but as I've said all season long, with the worst defence and worst midfield in the league, we get nothing less than we deserve. I actually thought it was a penalty, although its very very rare that shirt pulling in the box gets punished and you just know the same will happen in all the other games today and there wont be a sniff of a penalty, hence it will continue.
Thats as good as sealed relegation for us now, and frankly as much as it hurts, we deserve to go down.
A shambles today capped by yet another ridiculous team selection from EG - playing your two best defenders in midfield and playing two of the worst defenders I have ever seen in my life instead is suicide.
No class, no creativity and next season no premiership football

Why wasn't it a red card though? Why didn't they blow straight away? Thank god Keane tucked it away. ..
I agree with you about Lehmann getting his cumupance. He has played reasonably well this season, but has spoiled it by acting like a complete idiot, utterly needlessly, at times.
It was never in a million years a red card offense though. It was, at worse, handbags. He gave Keane a little one handed shove, and Keane retalilated by giving him a shove with both hands.
Keanes shove was probrably worse, but neither deserved to be sent off.

43 attempts on goal - that's how football should be played!

Agreed. Besides, our Ronaldo has quicker feet anyway. :D
When you see Ronaldinho picking balls out like he did tonight, can't help think he would've been the difference, since we've had trouble a number of times this season with the final ball in.

I wonder who Queiroz's replacement will be in the summer?

On a side note, just wanted to add that i think Steed Malbranque is a class act.
Watching the premiership tonight just confirmed that he's just class.
He's a dribbling genius he just needs to develop a better vision for the killer pass. Lee Clark has that vision but no pace. If you could combine the two you'd get a great player. Steed is the same shape as Maradonna, and he's very difficult to get the ball away from.
I suspect he'll be off to a bigger club in another Saha like move this summer. I would have said Liverpool would be a likely destination but I'm sure he wants to improve himself. :D
Hmm, thing is with Ronaldinho is that he has great strength on the ball.
Ronaldo has the tricks, but can you teach someone vision?
Ronaldinho sees killer passes for fun.
Man U with Ronaldinho would have been a scary prospect. Thank god that never happened...
