I once had a Seitec wheel but I didn't like the grove in the steering at 12'Oclock - hard to explain but you could feel the wheel running over a bump/groove everytime you moved over the centre position as the wheel wanted to click into place at 12 o'clock. If you know the Dreamcast wheel it's basically like the complete opposite to it as the movement of the Dreamcast wheel felt exactly like a wheel should.

It also needed recalibrating all the time which was a pain as if I forgot then I would have to reboot the Xbox and start again.:oh-hum:

In it's favour it had the best foot pedals I've ever used - used about 6 console wheels over the last 10 years - and the wheel felt extreamly solid with good rumble and had a great lap rest mechanism.

So can anyone recommend a wheel with a good feel to it and preferably with a good lap mechanism too.

I bought a Lotus wheel and pedal set of the forums a few months ago, cant fault it, kids find it easy to use as well, and you can pick em up pretty cheap, mine cost £12 inc P+P

I heard they were great wheels but they need a table to clamp to as the lap mechanism didn't work well - did you find the same problem?
