View Full Version : Toshiba 43PJ93B widescreen problems
Only had my tv a week and Ive noticed this white dashes flash every 15mins or so on widescreen (sky and dvd). I was wondering if any one resolved their problems?
cheers
Andrew
I have these too (as do several others) but they are a barely noticeable problem.
Can someone with a macrovision disabled player confirm that it isn't a strange interaction with macrovision?
Anyone else have this problem? Is it a fault on all 43pj94b tv's?
well, not much help, but I get them as well - I bought a decent scart cable to go with the pricier telly so I wouldn't have thought it was that - esp. given many people have noticed it too.....
Ive got this problem.
I have tried the following players
Pionneer 717, 535 and a wharfedale 750s all with the same problem on SVHS as well as RGB.
The 535 is from techtronics but Im not sure if it has macro disabled as I got it secondhand.
I have also had 2 TVs as the first was replaced due to a fault and both presented this problem.
It seems to be more noticeable on R1 DVDs......
Can people with this TV list their players I was thinking of upgrading in a hope to rid this problem I was thinking of getting a Toshiba.

i get it too, like a thin white line flash in the black bars once in a while. At first it kinda irritated me somewhat. But now i really don't notice it anymore, and it seems i'm the only one who actually notices it. Friends and family don't spot it at all, and even after i show them, they don't see any problem.
I use a Pioneer Dv55 and a Pioneer 535, it happens regardless of what i use. Even if i play a computer game in widescreen mode, it still happens.
:)
Welcome back Tj!! :D Back for the lovely North Wales winter eh? ;) :D I guess Ill just have to get used to the flash.
Dinghiy, Ive got a Tosh 2109 player, so I don't think getting a tosh player helps. :(
Thanks Andrew.
Looks like a upgrade to another pioneer then =)
I wouldnt be put off buying one of these tvs by this thread as for what it is, its fantastic value.
