I bought the Criterion release back in July.
I see its to be released on R2 in November with a commentary:(
Should I stick my copy up for sale and get R2?

Up to you my friend. The new R2 has the commentary & is anamorphic I believe so there you go.

Personally I can't be arsed to buy it again so soon - expect I will one day though.

I'll be sticking with my Criterion but if you must have the commentary and anamorphic picture then there's plenty people who'll buy your 'old' Criterion.
