Is this any good?

I have a book which mentions it as being excellent and was just wondering what the forums thought of it.

A favourite film of mine and, personally, would appreciate a decent DVD release. Not to everyone's taste though! Part art house, part road movie - you either love it or hate it in my experience. See what imdb say about it.

It's beautiful film.

It's available on Region 4 and Spain Region 2.

None of the releases are amazing but far superior to anything I've owned before.

Region 4 reviewed here (http://www.michaeldvd.com.au/Reviews/Reviews.asp?ReviewID=504)

I love it. I think there was talk a while back of a UK release in the pipeline, but I can't remember the details...

Any more details? :D

I read on some German site that Wim Wenders (http://us.imdb.com/Name?Wenders,+Wim) is doing a very special edition for the US market.

I care not a jot cos I'm happy with my Spanish disc.

The film also features a brilliant soundtrack by Ry Cooder.

OK, I think I was telling porky pies :D ... the old grey matter ain't what it used to be... I think we may be talking about the same special edition mentioned here (http://www.wim-wenders.com/movies/dvd/wenders_on_dvd.htm). As you say, for US release.

Sorry for any confusion :)
