View Full Version : When is Kill Bill 2 released?
Whats the official date when Kill Bill 2 is released? My local are doing preiews next Thursday, just wondering if they well ahead of the rest or if it opens on the friday officially.
Are there any websites that have listings of forthcoming films with release dates? Save me posting these kinda questions on here.....

IMBD (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0378194/releaseinfo) is your friend...
23rd April, if you can't be bothered to click....
Still surprised questions like this get asked TBH....surely everyone knows about IMDB, being a member of a DVD forum?
yeah i use it alot to find out who was in what film etc, but in all honesty thought it was an american site, and thus release date would just be american......
Anyway - don't you like feeling usful and answering questions?

It is now, largely but I believe it originally started here in the UK.
The IMDB was purchased by Amazon.com in 1998 (which is why every movie listing has a table next to it, where it shows availability of that movie).
To Amazon (and IMDBs) credit the essential core of the site has seemingly remained the same since the buy-out. It is a wicked tool for movie lovers, and it is thankfully not swamped with annoying advertising... even if they have too many news stories about J-Lo (gah) and Ben Affleck...

Did anyone else hear Jonathan Ross saying (on his radio show last week) that he didnt think it was all that good?
He said that it was just more of the same, nothing new and that it ran out of steam.
Considering how much he loved the first one I am a bit worried now!!

But I would expect it to be similar seeing as it was originally written as one film

I would agree but I would have expected it to have built up to a massive finish. The running out of steam and nowhere near as good comments were what worried me.
Either way I will be going to see it for myself as I always wait to see for myself. Just thought I would share with the group (seeing as that is the ONLY thin I have heard so far)!!

I remember Jonathan Ross giving Cats & Dogs 4 stars out of 5- so I think it's probably best to ignore what he thinks

The Empire review seems to suggest it's a bit of a mixed bag. I earlier posted the link for it in the following thread at http://thedvdforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=3904927#post3904927

Have to disagree, remember The Incredilbly Strange Film Show ?
JR is one of the very few TV critics I have any time for.

I also heard Jonathan talking about the film. I think his main complaint was that there were no new ideas in the film that we haven't already seen in the first

That's odd - Roger Ebert loved the first one but loved this even more. He said it contains everything the first film lacked, ie - being more substance than style.

Not sure how he can say that. It's just part 2 of the same film - you can't expect anything new from it.
