I've got to pick 5? Errr....
The Red Shoes
Taxi Driver
Jeff Buckley - Live In Chicago
Kubrick Box Set (how's that for a cheat entry! Oh OK then, Dr Strangelove if I had to pick one.)
And a new entry just in - Monty Python and The Holy Grail (even with the annoying subtitle thingy).
But there's so many others I want to put in! Can I have another 5?;)
Anchor Bay's "The Beyond"
"The House by the Cemetery"
"The Nightmare Before Christmas" (might upgrade to the SE)
"The Iron Giant"

Se7en 2 Disc
Godfather collection
Monty P & The Holy Grail
Robocop Crit
In The Mood For Love (French R2)
Well, here's mine
<OL>
<LI><B>Rocky Horror Picture Show</B><BR>
An excellent disc plus a so-so extras disc. Whenever I feel down, I just put this in to cheer me up. The whole film is just to infectious.
<P>
<LI><B>Chasing Amy</B><BR>
Kevin Smith's finest film, and even though I've seen it about 10 times, it still packs an emotional punch.
<P>
<LI><B>Captain Scarlet Boxset</B><BR>
Probably cheating here by including a set, but the care and attention shown by Carlton over these discs is obvious - unlike some collections I could name *cough*-Xena-*cough*. Plus the programmes themselves are excellent.
<P>
<LI><B>League of Gentlemen Season 1</B><BR>
Season 2 might have the technically better discs, but I prefer the first series
<P>
<LI><B>Dracula [1931]</B><BR>
Not the best of the 'classic' Universal Horror films, but a stunning disc with two versions of the English language film, the Spanish language version and a informative documentary. All of the Universal Monster discs (including the recent 'double features') are wonderful.

Tricky one, as many of my favourite films have quite undistinguished discs. Still, I can think of a few:
1) Monty Python and the Holy Grail SE.
2) Spartacus: Criterion version
3) Die Hard SE
4) The Kubrick collection
5) The Godfather trilogy

Of course, I forgot Battlefield earth.
1. The Rock - They don't make films like that anymore...
2. Fight Club - Soap.
3. Se7en - "Ernst Hemmingway once wrote: 'The World is a fine place, and worth fighting for.' I agree with the second part."
4. Terminator 2: UE - "Hasta la vista - baby."
5. Reservoir Dogs - Even though justice hasn't been done to it on DVD... QT is the best director in the world... Exept no substitutes.
I need 5 more though!:mad:

I got the r1 discs, one of the very first set of dvds i ever bought. If you're into anime and movies like matrix, fight club, and akira, then i think lain will be right up your street.
There's loadsa info at http://www.cjas.org/~leng/lain.htm
TBH I haven't quite got the full jist of the story yet and i haven't had time for a repeat viewing. But then again, I had to watch matrix twice before I understood any of that :rolleyes:
EDIT: add princess mononoke to that list :)
In no particular order (that would be impossible! :D)

Hows your Opera disk? I beleive there was some problems with this title wasn't there?
Akira Tin
Dogma SE
Battle Royale
NICE!!!
This is the re-issue with the problems resolved, got from play for 15.99 as they think it is the single disc, however now only limited to 3,000 so if you want one I'd be quick as single version now available apparently. I would take the chance that you might get the special ed and not the single as I e-mailed them and they told me it was the single edition yet I actually received the sp ltd ed and no probs.
