I see this is out on 4th May with bonus live disc.
Just wondered if it is an "official" release from the Hendrix estate, or some 3rd party suspect release.(There are to many duff cd's about)
Not bought him since "Blues".
Anyone got the 6 disc Astro Man boxset? Anygood?

Wish we could get some more Live dvds going.
What happened to Royal Albert Hall concerts that were all filmed.

Looks like a 3rd party release to me. Amazon.co.uk list the record label as Burning Airlines (?) and I can't see any mention of it on the official site. It also mentions a CD and DVD release of him live at Berkeley that came out in September. Must have slipped by me as I try to buy the official releases when they come out.

I hadn't heard of the Astro Man boxset either. I have the official Experience Hendrix boxset which is rather great IMO. I haven't got around to getting any of the live DVDs yet, but no doubt I'll get them at somepoint.

Yeah I've got the box set. The live stuff is fantastic, the studio stuff, less interesting.

I also pre-ordered the Live at the L.A. Forum, but they keep changing the release dates - probably just another 3rd party rip off, but you never know as there are tons of good live recordings out there!

The Berkeley set is official, although come to think of it, I've had it since November and still not watched or listened...

Damn...
