O.k. I have a very serious question here.

I have just bought the Sony STRDb790 Amp from Empiredirect but I am waiting for it to arrive.

. I downloaded a copy of the manual off the sony website and have been looking through it. In the section about connecting equipment it says that if I connect my DVD player to the amp via the multi channel in cables then the Subwoofer and surround speakers levels can only be adjusted on the dvd player(this is on page 11) if that is the case I am a bit stuck because you cannot adjust the sound level of my speakers from within the Pioneer 626d menues. If this is the case what is the best alternative way of connecting my DVD player to my Amp so I can fine tune the individual speaker levels??

Does anyone have any ideas?

Regards Conrad

If you plug the dvd player into the amp via a digital lead then you're okay.

Its only if you use the 5.1 outputs (6 sockets) on the back of the dvd player to plug it into the amp you can not adjust the levels from the amp.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I just need to get a digital coaxial lead to run between the 2 and Roberts your Mothers Brother....(Bob's your Uncle)
