View Full Version : Does anyone else think that The Godfather is crap ?
I mean, for a start it's all just a load of talking. It takes about a day to watch. And Bill Murray is crap in it ! I just don't understand why everyone says it's one of the best films ever made when it's so crap.
No, I'm not sure that anyone else does...

Yeah, but he was right on one point- Bill Murray wasn't very good in it.... :rolleyes:

And the dialogue is so bad, I mean a film without quality acting, cinematography, score, Brando, Pacino - hasn't really got alot going for it has it. :confused:
Next thing you know, they'll be giving it a bl@@dy oscar!
What was the last DVD you watched?
I think they are shats.
Never managed to watch one right through. Boring as hell.

I think a few people are going to be waking up with horses heads on their beds in the morning. :eek: Honestly, I consider calling the Godfather crap tantamount to either heresy or a distinct lack of movie appreciation. On second thoughts, both. :(

I'd thouroughly reccomend American Pie to anyone who couldn't sit through The Godfather.

I think he's taking the michael mate (see <a href="http://thedvdforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=28263">here</a>). I'm just cursing myself at forgetting how good these films are... watched the boxset over a period of 3 nights this week, and it was 9 hours of sheer unadulterated bliss... :) But then again I liked Groundhog Day too ;) .

Hated it as a kid, love it as an adult. Films you will grow to appreciate I think.

Godfather never really worked for me. I was quite happy to watch it to the end, but I won't go buying it.

Awful, absolutely awful. Far too much dialogue and where were the car chases and exploding national monuments ??
I just hope to God that Spielberg makes a remake with Angelina Jolie and Tom Cruise playing starring roles.
